I am reaching out to the community to ask for your financial assistance with which to do some important work in our synagogue building which needs to be done immediately to ensure the security and safety of the congregation.
We, at Adath Israel, are working hard to provide a safe and secure environment for our congregants and guests. We are following a strict plan to make sure that there are armed personnel in and outside of our building, whose duty it is to be prepared for any matter that we pray will never come.
We have a lot of work to do and we have applied for financial grants and hopefully when the funds become available, we will take care of the bulk of the work that needs to be done.
However, there are matters which need to be done immediately. This includes (but is not limited to) putting extensive work into the doors/entrances to the building, which might need to be replaced. Also, setting up video cameras at specific locations inside and outside the building and also adding lighting fixtures to the outside of the building.
It has been estimated that we need approximately $20,000 to do the work which needs to be done as soon as possible. All funds received will be used only for matters of security. We appreciate your participation in this vital project.
Please send your contribution to:
